Yarn Expo, Shanghai, 12-14 March 2019

The Council proposes to organize India Pavilion Jointly with FICCI at Yarn Expo to be held  at Shanghai, China from 12 to 14 March, 2019.

Yarn Import into China

  • China imported 1,913 million kgs of Cotton Yarn (valued at US$ 5,303 Mn) from all sources in the year 2017-18, of which, import from India was 313 Mn Kgs valued at US$ 876 Mn
  • India is the 2nd largest supplier of Cotton Yarn to China with a market share of 17%.

Yarn Expo is co-located with 'InterTextile Apparel Fabrics' and 'InterTextile Home Textiles' Shanghai.
Venue: The National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai, China
No. of Exhibitors in 2018 March edition: 435 companies from 10 countries andregions
No. of Visitors in 2018 March edition: Over 25,966 Trade Visitors from 88 countries and regions
Focus Products: All types of Yarns and Fibres
Organisers: Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.

Participation Fee:

A)  Subsidized participation fee for a standard 9 Sq..Mtr. built up Standis Rs.1,50,000/- + 18% GST = Rs.1,77,000/- only for the first 10 eligible Applications.

B)  Stands are also available without MAI assistance at a fee ofRs.2,56,410/- + 18% GST = Rs.3,02,564/- per 9 Sq.Mtr. (For those Companies who have already availed MAI benefit

3 times for this particular event (or) those already availed MAI benefit for 2 times in the Financial Year 2018-19).

Interested Members are requested to fill up the attached Application Form and send it to us along with Cheque / DD Favoring The Cotton Textiles Export PromotionCouncil payable at Mumbai on or before 26 December, 2018.

All the participants who pay the full participation fee on time would beconsidered for allotment of booths:

  1. Only first 10 Applications from eligible companies will be considered on FCFS basis to avail subsidized fee, subject to payment of full participation fee within stipulated last date.
  2. For the allotment of booths, where any vacancy arises after allocation, the same would be allocated to wait listed companies.
  3. No change in the booths, once allotted would be entertained under any circumstances.
  4. The decision of ED, TEXPROCIL would be final in case of any confusion/dispute.

MAI funding

In accordance with the recent amendments in the MAI guidelines and conditional approval from the Ministry ofCommerce, applicable subsidy will be reimbursed subject to the following important criteria:

  • Those exporters who have already availed subsidized fee structure under MAI scheme for 3 or more times including past participation can participate by paying full participation fee.
  • An exporter can avail subsidized participation fee in a maximum of 2 approved MAI events in a financial year.



In case of cancellation / withdrawal of participation by Members, full participation fees will be forfeited.
