Profile of Shri Vijay Kumar Agarwal – Chairman – TEXPROCIL

Vijay Kumar Agarwal is the Founder, Promoter & Chairman of the Creative Group. He commenced the manufacturing and export of Ready-made garments in 1974. He is an Engineer and alumni of the prestigious VJTI.

Recognizing the changing scenario in the post-Quota era, under his leadership the group has gone in for a total backward integration. Since 1995 by setting up facilities for manufacture of fabric, knitted fabric, processing of yarn, embroidery and printing etc. He has vast experience in all aspects of manufacturing and exporting textile products. He has traveled widely all over the world for Business Promotion.

He has also led the group as one of the pioneering firms to diversify into manufacturing and exports of Made Ups and Home Textiles, exporting to leading customers in the USA and Europe.

He has been a member of the Executive Committee of M/s. Apparel Export Promotion Council for the last 20 years. He has been Chairman of many Committees of AEPC including finance and Quota advisory committee and he was Chairman of AEPC 2006-2007. Presently, he is the Chairman of The Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL).

He was a member of many delegations of Commerce and Textiles Ministries of Government of India and visited many countries including Japan, USA, China etc. for promotion of exports from India and up-gradation of manufacturing process and technology.

He is a member of many social and charitable institutions of social welfare and runs many schools, colleges, hostels etc.
