
DGFT Expands TRACE Scheme: Enhanced Support for MSME Exporters

The Office of the DGFT has issued Trade Notice No. 09/2026-27 dated 01 July 2026,announcing amendments to the TRACE (Trade Regulations, Accreditation and ComplianceEnablement) Guidelines under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) – Niryat Disha. Thescope of the scheme has been expanded to help MSME exporters meet internationalcompliance requirements.
Key Highlights:
- Financial assistance increased to up to 95% for Micro & Small Enterprises and 80% forMedium Enterprises.
- Maximum reimbursement enhanced to ?50 lakh per IEC per financial year.
- Introduction of a two-stage reimbursement mechanism.
- Coverage expanded to 462 international Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)regulations.
- Major textile certifications such as GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS, RCS, OCS, Bluesign, ZDHCMRSL, EU REACH, Higg Index, and several others are now eligible under the scheme.
